Cathode Bias is a small workshop. We release our Cafe Sound Speakers as they become available. We are currently focused on increasing our inventory of La Modesta speakers and sound systems, but will consider requests for custom systems based on our inventory of new and vintage horns and drivers.

Modesta Sound System is custom sound system built for the 2024 Miami music week. It exemplifies our philosophy of combining the best from modern audio technology with the best of vintage. It works well with analog and digital sources with a formidable foundation created by the 18" mini-max subwoofer.

The Pink Sound System

The Pink is our large scale dual woofer horn system. The colorway was devised by our co-founder Eylin Baus. Her vision is to escape the sea of dull sound system colors and bring a feminine touch to a traditionally masculine world.

La Modesta

La Modesta is our "production" 2-way horn systems for PA and home use. It uses proven vintage designs with 100% new components. Cabinets are built and finished by hand in Reno, NV.
It is a punchy system which sounds great with everything from vintage Dub to modern ambient Jazz. This is one of our favorite systems and designed as a system we could live with on a day in and day out basis.
